The short version

This site has one form on it. If you fill it in, we keep your email address so we can tell you when we launch. If you tell us what your studio’s humidity reads, we keep that too, because it’s the whole point of what we’re building.

We don’t use cookies. We don’t run analytics. There are no advertising pixels, no tracking scripts, and no third-party code on any page. You can verify that by viewing the source.

What we collect

Only what you type into the waitlist form:

• Your email address. Required — there’s no way to email you at launch without it.
• Your studio’s humidity reading. Optional. A number between 0 and 100.
• Your state. Optional, and only on the home page form.
• Which page you were on when you signed up, and the date. We record that a signup came from, say, the article about white brittle bonds. It tells us which writing is worth doing more of. It is not tied to anything about you beyond your own signup.

From your humidity reading we work out a climate band — dry, true or humid — and store that alongside it. That’s arithmetic on a number you gave us, not a judgement about you.

We do not collect: payment details (there is nothing to buy yet), addresses, phone numbers, date of birth, or anything about your clients.

Where it goes

Your signup is stored in a database inside our own Cloudflare account. Cloudflare hosts this site and processes the usual web server records — including IP addresses — as part of delivering it and protecting it from abuse. We don’t have access to a per-visitor log and we don’t build one.

When we start sending launch emails we’ll use Klaviyo as the sending platform, and your email address, humidity reading, band and state will be stored there so the email you get is matched to your room rather than generic. That’s the only other company that will hold your information.

We don’t sell your information. We don’t share it for advertising. We don’t put it in URLs.

Why we ask about humidity

Honestly: because it’s useful to both of us. Lash adhesive cures on moisture in the air, so your room decides how it behaves. Knowing the range of conditions real techs actually work in tells us what to make and how much of it. And it means that when we email you, we can tell you which formula suits your room — including telling you that you don’t need a specialty one at all.

Leave it blank if you’d rather not. The signup works the same.

Emails

Joining the waitlist means agreeing to receive launch and restock emails from us. Every one has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from the list for good. We don’t have a second list to move you to.

Getting your information, or getting rid of it

Email [email protected] and ask. We’ll send you what we hold, correct it, or delete it — whichever you want — and we’ll do it within 30 days. You don’t need to give a reason, and you don’t lose anything by asking, because there’s nothing to lose yet.

If you’re in California, Florida, or another state with its own privacy law, those are the rights those laws give you. We’d rather just offer them to everyone than run a different process per state.

Children

This is a professional trade site. It isn’t directed at anyone under 18 and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

If we start doing something different with your information — adding analytics, for example — we will update this page and change the date at the top before we start, not after.
